Conservative Friends of Pakistan enjoyed a successful first time at Party Conference in Birmingham this year. Whilst engaging with various members of the Parliamentary Party, include a number of Cabinet Ministers, on the work of CFoP we co-hosted an event with the High Commission for Pakistan and the report can be read here: http://phclondon.org/News/NewsItem625.asp
Attending Party Conference was a very useful opportunity to quite literally set out our stall in terms of explaining our main objectives and how we intend to engage with the British Pakistani community to gain a clearer sense of their aspirations within society. In addition to holding a stall and speaking to the hundreds of Party delegates who attended Conference, CFoP took the opportunity of being in Birmingham to hold numerous meetings with communitty leaders, mosque leaders, young entrepreneurs and an international aid charity to further build our understanding of the issues that are most significant to the local British Pakistani community.
